WHAT IS A SUGAR SCRUB?
If you are a newbie to making homemade skincare, it’s possible that you have tried making body butter. That was the first homemade skincare product that I ever tried to make. Making sugar scrubs seemed intense, little did I know it was actually easier to make that body butter.
A sugar scrub is a type of exfoliant product that is usually made from granulated sugar mixed with other ingredients such as natural oil, essential oils, and other skin nourishing ingredients. It’s designed to gently remove dead skin cells from the skin’s surface, leaving it rejuvenated and feeling smooth and soft.
WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE USED TO MAKE DIY SUGAR SCRUBS?
The main ingredients used to make diy sugar scrubs include sugar and carrier oils. Carrier oils like coconut oil, olive oil, and almond oil, provide moisture and hydration to the skin. This prevents the skin from becoming overly dry and irritated during the exfoliation process. These oils also help to nourish and replenish the skin, leaving it feeling moisturized and supple.
WHY USE A DIY SUGAR SCRUB?
DIY Sugar scrubs are an effective way to exfoliate and improve the overall appearance and texture of the skin. The granules of sugar act as a physical exfoliant. They help to slough away dull, dry skin cells, unclog pores, and promote a healthy complexion.
