Equipment

  • Spatula or Spoon
  • Finger Bowl
  • Measuring Cups
  • Shower Steamer Holder
  • Shower Drain Protector

Ingredients
  

  • 2.5 Cups Sodium Bicarb
  • 1 Tsp Cream of Tartar
  • 1 Cup Citric Acid
  • 1 tsp Castor Oil
  • 48 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil
  • 48 Drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil
  • Rose Petals optional
  • Calendula optional

Instructions
 

  • Measure and sift 2 1/2 cups of sodium bicarb and 1 cup of citric acid and set aside in separate bowls. Also, measure 48 drops of eucalyptus essential oil and 48 drops of peppermint essential oil and sit aside for now.
  • Next, measure 1 tsp of cream of tartar.
  • Add the cream of tartar to the bowl with sodium bicarb and mix together with a spatula.
  • Pour the citric acid into the bowl with the sodium bicarb and cream of tartar and stir with a spatula or spoon.
  • Now, add in a hand full of rose petals, break them up into small pieces if they are too big.
  • Gather a hand full of calendula leaves and mix them into the shower steam and rose petal mix and stir. Now is a good time to add some of the rose petals and calendula leaves to the bottom of the mold.
  • Take the essential oil mixture (castor oil, pepermint & eucalpytus essential oil) and mix it into the shower steamer mix and stir.
  • Spray the shower steamer mix with 91% alcohol to moisten the mixture until it feels like wet sand.
  • Fill the silicone molds with the shower steamer mixture. Let sit for 24 hours for the mixture to dry before using the shower fizzers in the shower.
