Gather all the necessary tools to make this sugar scrub including, a digital scale, measuring cups, and storage container.
Using a digital scale, measure 14 grams of shea butter, 6 grams of stearic acid, and 6 grams of emulsifying wax.
Next, measure 14 grams of apricot oil and 20 grams of coconut oil.
Mix all of the above ingredients from steps 2 and 3 into a heat-safe container.
Now, using a double boiler melt the above ingredients in a water bath. Let the ingredients melt. Once melted remove the container from the heat source. Let cool for several minutes.
Measure 132 grams of granulated sugar, 1 gram of germall plus preservative, 4 grams of fragrance oil, 2 grams of mica, and 1 gram of vitamin E.
Start mixing the granulated sugar into the ingredients that were melted in the water bath.
Continue stirring the sugar into the oil until all of the sugar is incorporated.
Incorporate the vitamin E and stir, followed by the germall plus, then the fragrance oil, and finally the mica. Make sure to stir between adding each of these ingredients.
Add the sugar scrub to a jar.
