Homemade Hydrating Face Cream

EASY HOMEMADE MOISTURIZING FACE CREAM

This is a simple moisturizing and hydrating face cream recipe. It's made mainly from Murumuru Butter and Jojoba oil two of my favorite ingredients for skincare. It can be used as an A.M. or P.M. moisturizer.
Total Time 1 hour

  • Measuring Scale
  • Measuring Cup
  • Mixing Bowls
  • 3 heat safe containers
  • Emulsion Blender w/ wisk

  • Add 15g of jojoba oil to the same heat-safe container
  • Add 5gm of Olivem 1000 to the murumuru butter and jojoba oil
  • In a separate heat-safe container, measure out 5gm of glycerin
  • Add 0.5gm of xanthan gum to the glycerin and stir the mixture until it blended
  • In a separate heat-safe container, measure out 60gm of distilled water

  • Also, place the container with the glycerin and xantham gum into the same water bath over low heat to let it warm up
  • Once all the ingredients are warm remove them from the water bath.
  • Pour the oil mixture into the jar that contains the distilled water and quickly stir the mixture
  • Next, use an emulsion blender to blend the oil and water mixture until the mixture starts to thicken
  • Once the mixture has thickened add-in the xantham gum/glycerin mix and mix with a spoon or blend it with a hand-held whisk
  • Add 0.5gm of vitamin E into the mixture
  • Add 1g of optiphen preservative into the mixture and stir or mix with a hand-held whisk
  • Add to a 4 oz jar with a lid and store in a cool dry place.
