Easy Aromatherapy Shower Steamers for Congestion

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup Citric Acid
  • 1/4 cup Green Clay
  • 0.5 oz Menthol Crystals
  • 40 drops Essential Oil

Instructions
 

  • Gather all of your utensils and ingredients needed to make these shower steamers.
  • Measure and sift the baking soda and citric acid and combine in a mixing bowl.
  • Next, measure the green clay, combine it with the baking soda and citric acid, and stir all of the ingredients together until well combined.
  • Using a digital scale measure and then crush up the menthol crystals and place it into a heat safe container.
  • Now, measure the sunflower seed oil and combine it with the menthol crystal.
  • Place the heat safe container in a water bath to allow the menthol crystal to melt into the sunflower seed oil.
  • Measure out the polysorbate 80 and the essential oils and combine them together.
  • Once the menthol crystals and sunflower seed oil are melted combine it with the essential oils and polysorbate 80 and pour these wet ingredients into the dry ingredients (the baking soda and citric acid).
  • Now start mixing the ingredients with either your gloved hands or a whisk until thoroughly mixed.
  • Using botanical flowers is optional. Add them to the silicone mold.
  • Fill the silicone mold with the shower steamer mix.
