First, measure 3 grams of Mica and sit it aside for now in a small bowl.
Now, measure 50.5 grams of sweet almond oil in a medium size heat-safe container.
Next measure 30.5 grams of murumuru butter and 30.5 grams of kokum butter and place in their own heat-safe container.
Now pour 1/2 of the sweet almond oil into the container that has the murumuru butter and the kokum butter and sit the remaining sweet almond oil aside for now.
Prepare a heat bath to melt the butter and oils together. Once prepared place the container with the butter and oil mix into the heat bath over low heat and let them melt. Check out the video within the blog post if this sounds confusing.
While the butter and oils are melting, measure 5 grams of arrowroot powder and sit it aside for now.
Once the butter and oils have melted, remove them from the heat source and pour them into a mixing bowl and place them into the freezer for about 10 mins or until the mixture begins to firm up.
Remove the mixture from the freezer and start blending with a hand mixer on low to medium speed. Whip it until it becomes a creamy fluffy body butter.
Now measure out 0.5 grams of vitamin E, add to the body butter, and stir.
Next add the mica to the remaining almond oil that you set aside earlier and stir (add the mica to the oil a little at a time to make for a smooth mixture).
Pour the mica and oil mix into the body butter mix and blend with a hand blender.
Now use a piping bag or a spatula to place the shimmering body butter into a container.
Sprinkle a little shimmering mica on top of the finished product.
