- 2 g Glycerin
- 1 g Panthenol (Vit B5)
- 8 g Cupuacu Butter
- 6 g Avocado Oil
- 3 g Pumpkin Seed Oil
- 7 g BTMS 50
- 3 g Ceterayl Alcohol
- 1 g Vitamin E
- 1 g Preservative
- 1 g Peppermint Essential Oil
Oil Phase
Using a digital scale measure out all of the recipe ingredients.
Next, combine the infused oil, cupuacu butter, BTMS 50, and cetearyl alcohol together in a heat-safe container.
Place the heat-safe container in a water bath over low heat to allow the ingredients to melt. Allow the temperature to reach 160 degrees.
Water Phase
Mix the glycerin and guar gum together and stir.
Next using a heat-safe container mix the distilled water, guar gum mixture, and vitamin B5 together and stir the mixture. It will start to thicken.
Now place the container into a water bath to let it warm up to about 160 degrees.
Once ingredients are melted remove them from the heat source.
Mixing
Combine the Oil Mixture and the Water mixture together and stir quickly.
Using an immersion stick blender, give the mixture several pluses until the mixture starts to combine. Let the mixture stand for 3 to 5 minutes then give it a few more pulses and stir the thickened conditioner.
Cool Down
Once the mixture has cooled down to below 100 degrees Fahrenheit, combine the essential oil, vitamin E and preservative into the mixture one at a time and stir.
Add your conditioner to your favorite air tight jar.
